We are seeking a reliable and responsible Personal Care Assistant to support our patients with a variety of daily living tasks including medication management, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing companionship, emotional support, and ensuring the patient's safety and well-being. The Personal Care Assistant will be part of an experienced team of caregivers and will work directly with the patient's family to ensure that the patient is able to maintain his or her independence.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with a variety of patients, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations. A certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
· Provide personal caregiving services in accordance with an established plan of direct care.
· Assist patients with activities of daily living.
· Perform general housekeeping activities.
· Provide transportation assistance to and from activities and appointments.
· Offer compassionate companionship to patients.
· Monitor patient's health and well-being and report any changes to the medical team.
· Help the patient with mobility limitations, such as transferring, lifting, and repositioning.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patient.
· Provide medication reminders as directed by the medical team.
Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Ability to communicate both verbal and written.
· Capable of working responsibly with confidential information.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Ability to work in a home-like setting.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
